June 2024 | Venice Beach: The Cow's End Cafe is a neighborhood favorite! My favorites are the colorful açai bowls, croissants, smoothies & the Thai Tuna Wrap! Open every day from 6 AM to 6 PM! Plenty of seating, inside, upstairs & outside! Local: Walked over, as it's a hop skip & a jump away! I wanted to eat local for the 1st day of Summer! It's fun to sit, eat & people watch! After all these years, today is the first day that I sat at the wide open window, which is pretty cool! Seating is upstairs, downstairs, outside and even on the extended patio! Note: I've been eating at The Cow's End before I even moved to Venice Beach & used to walk over from a friend's house and get the delicious Thai Tuna Wrap, as it's my favorite! Smiles Are Us: Friendly customer service with a smile, even when this place gets super busy! Overall: Charming place where you will see locals, experience friendly service, a variety of yummy food; something for everyone, plenty of seating & great place to people watch! Afterwards, why not head over to the beach, which is just a few steps away! Fun!

This isn't just a coffee shop, this is an institution. The Cows End is a Venice/MDR MUST. I came here daily back in the 90's and, coming back to visit 30 years later, it is still the great local hangout with fabulous breakfast and coffee it always was. And, the smiling barista behind the counter that I remember from back in the day is STILL HERE serving up that goodness. Grab a cup and walk down to the pier and let the ocean waves set the tone for your day. There's nothing better. A classic.

The food was great, good sizes and decently priced,. The service was pretty great, very friendly staff and the ambiance was actually quite charming to the tune of American culture. I'd say if you're near the Venice pier, this is a must try.
